United Way of Greater Rochester and the Finger Lakes have announced Marty and Darci Mucci as the recipients of the 2024 Tocqueville Society Award. This recognition honors an individual, couple, or family who demonstrates outstanding commitment to the community through extensive involvement, financial support, and service to United Way or other community organizations.

“Darcy and I have always believed that it was important to support United Way, its leadership, and the future of our community,” said Marty Mucci. “We are proud now to be counted among the Tocqueville Society Award recipients.”
Marty and Darcy Mucci have been directly involved with United Way for over four decades, serving in various leadership roles on the campaign cabinet, finance committee, and board of directors. In 2016, Marty served as United Way’s campaign chair, helping to raise $25 million.
As president and CEO of Paychex, Marty guided the formation of the Paychex Charitable Foundation, which has since supported countless organization, including United Way, in our region. The Foundation recently announced $4 million in grants.

Recent winners of the Tocqueville Society Award include Jack and Donna DePeters, Andy and Karen Gallina, and Wayne and Beverly LeChase.
The Muccis received the award Tuesday during the Tocqueville Society Award event. Tocqueville Society members annually contribute $10,000 or more to United Way of Greater Rochester and the Finger Lakes.
