Arel Moodie is known as a “Human Development Investigator” who is a host of the Disney+ Show "Family Reboot", who has spoken in 48 states and 5 countries to over 750,000 people. He has extensively studied human dynamics and relationships and has been invited to speak at the White House twice, TEDx stage three times and has been quoted in media outlets like The New York Times, USA Today, Forbes, Black Enterprise, Huffington Post, and contributor to TV shows like The Doctors. It's All About Actions: Equity vs. Equality

This interactive workshop will focus on defining and sharing examples of equity vs. equality in the workplace.

Community Schools: A Regional Movement 

We will start by celebrating Community Schools’ success stories across the region. Mapping our local examples of success to the national Community Schools Essentials model will build an understanding of the Community Schools strategy and help us all find our place in this movement. After briefly exploring the history of Community Schools nationally, across NYS and in our region, we will brainstorm ideas for moving forward in our region. Participants should expect to have opportunities to sign up for county specific and regional workgroups to push the work of Community Schools forward through a focus on enabling conditions and key practices or make suggestions on how existing collaborative groups can support the continued success of this strategy. Data pertaining to the effectiveness of Community Schools to mitigate risk factors and address issues like Chronic Absenteeism will help us consider what can be done together.

Through engaging interactive activities and thought-provoking discussions attendees will learn how to navigate social dynamics, leverage historical insights, and foster collaboration to advance their mission effectively. By fostering an environment of collaboration and mutual learning, participants will develop the essential skills needed to cultivate meaningful partnerships, drive positive change, and achieve their objectives with purpose and effectiveness.
