ROC THE DAY RAISES MORE THAN $1M

In just 24 hours, the Greater Rochester and Finger Lakes region mobilized to donate $1,084,892 to 600 local nonprofits during ROC the Day.

THE NEED FOR INTERSECTIONALITY IN CHILDREN’S LITERATURE

In an effort to increase cultural competency and promote a sense of belonging for children, United Way of Greater Rochester and the Finger Lakes’ Circulo Latino Society hosted a Multicultural Book Drive to collect diverse and inclusive children’s literature to benefit local nonprofits.

2022 Leadership Development Program Graduation

80+ LEADERS GRADUATE FROM UNITED WAY’S LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS

United Way of Greater Rochester and the Finger Lakes hosted a graduation ceremony for more than 80 future leaders in its Leadership Development Program program. These programs aim to advance and broaden the participation of diverse individuals in influential leadership positions throughout the community.

On October 26, United Way's Emerging Leaders Society hosted a panel on ‘Food Insecurity in our Region’, where a group of expert panelists shared what food insecurity looks like for local families and how United Way and its partners are helping communities fill the gap.

United Way of Greater Rochester and the Finger Lakes appoints Teresa O’Loughlin as Chief Development Officer.

United Way of Greater Rochester and the Finger Lakes has appointed Teresa O’Loughlin (Bianchi) as its new Chief Development Officer. O’Loughlin brings decades of nonprofit leadership experience to the role. She will oversee the resource development department and lead multiple efforts, including all fundraising activities at United Way.
